Welcome to SPARC.
Stockport Progress and Recovery Centre is a local voluntary organisation providing support to adults in the Stockport area who experience mental health problems.
We offer a range of leisure, therapeutic, educational and social activities and facilities, developed in consultation with our members, in order to promote integration and mental and social well being.
The organisation was set up as a registered charity in 1985. We currently employ 6 staff as well as a number of volunteers who constitute an important element of the service we provide.
The charity is managed by a committee of trustees from a wealth of backgrounds including representation from our service user group and a volunteer. We are primarily funded by grants and partnership contracts, but a considerable amount is raised annually through fundraising and also from events organised by the charity and its members.
We would like to thank the following funders/partners who also support SPARC;
The National Lottery Community Fund
Pure Innovations
Disability Stockport
Stockport Advocacy
